People’s Parade
10:00 am to 11:00 am
*New route and new times* The parade will be coming straight down Parliament Street from Wellesley to Gerrard. This year the theme is “The Cabbagetown People’s Parade” and so we have invited the schools, sports clubs, residence associations and cultural groups from Cabbagetown to participate. We are also asking parents to stroll with their babies in the parade and bikers to decorate their bikes and ride along.

Parliament Street Party

All along Parliament Street from Wellesley to Gerrard, vendors in colourful tents, pubs, patios and restaurants, singers and musicians create a unique world on Cabbagetown’s main street. Favourite singers like Go Freddy Go and Jim Heineman’s Trio will join newcomers and traditional buskers. You’ll find jewellery from Tibet, handmade hats, soaps, candles and much more. Enjoy barbequed corn, masala from Sri Lanka, pizza, pulled pork and back bacon sandwiches. And sit in a street-side patio to watch all the action while you indulge in your favourite drinks.
