Riverdale Farm - Picnic in the Paddock

Last week saw the first ever picnic in the paddock celebrating the summer solstice and one of Toronto's true gems, Riverdale Farm. Despite the omious weather the event was attended by about 400 people in support of the Riverdale Farm. 

Due to a great deal of hard work the Riverdale farm is more secure than it has been in years and with this kind of support the future of the farm is looking great. The Picnic in the Paddock was a great success from beginning to end. The Riverdale Farm Coalition had over 600 people come to the Picnic and over $5,000 in donations. Kids and adults alike enjoyed the great food as the BBQ line-up was always full and the kids loved the games and being able to get a late night view of the farm animals.

Everyone was in high spirits despite the weather and enjoyed the love we all share for the Farm.
